Scholarship Scheme Under Director of Higher Education-2020-21
The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam has released an official notification regarding the scholarship scheme named Combined Merit (Degree and Master)Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021, Scholarship For Girls Students Belonging to Minority Community, Research (Ph.D/ M.phil/L.L.M) Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021, For More detailed information regarding scholarships is discussed below.
A. Combined Merit (Degree and Master)Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021
Eligible Courses: Undergraduate and Postgraduate
Name of Scholarship: Combined Merit Scholarship Scheme 2020-21
Name of Organization: Directorate of Higher Education, Assam
Financial Assistance:-
For PG course: Rs. 500/- per month
For UG course: Rs. 300/- per month
Eligibility Criteria of Combined Merit Scholarship
1. The minimum marks to apply for the scholarship shall be
a) 60 % in Higher Secondary for those who apply for this Scholarship scheme
b) 60% in General Degree Course for those who apply this Scholarship scheme
2. Students pursuing general Degree and Master Degree course in Arts/Science/
Commerce discipline in any recognized institution for the session 2020-2021 are
eligible for the schemes.
3. The domicile of Assam Students Must Have (PRC document mandatory)
4. The Students must have valid Bank Account in their name (Preferably
in SBI) and details to be submitted along with the application(Bank Name, Bank Name A./c
Number, IFSC Code, Branch Name,)
5. Scholarship shall be disbursed through the DBT system to the beneficiaries.
6. The Students qualification from any recognized Institution.
How to Apply DHE Combined Merit Scholarship?

List of the Documents to be Submitted (Scanned)
1. PRC from DC/ S.D.O. Domicile of State of Assam as proof
2. Certificate from the Head of the Institution/ Registrar in which the Students at present studying (mandatory).
3. Final mark sheet of last qualifying examinations (i.e. H.S./T.D.C.).
4. Photograph and Signature of the candidate.
B. Research (Ph.D/ M.phil/L.L.M) Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021
Name of Organization: Directorate of Higher Education, Assam
Name of Scholarship: Research (Ph.D/ M.phil/L.L.M) Scholarship Scheme 2020-2021
Eligible Courses: M.Phil / Ph.D. / Post Doctorate Research
Quantum of Financial Assistance:
1. For Ph.D-@ Rs. 1000/- per-month
2. For M.Phil-@ Rs. 7001-per month
3. For P.G LLM-@ Rs. 500/- per month
General Condition of Eligibility:
l. Students must obtained at least 55 % marks in the last examinations (UG & P.G).
2. Students who are admitted as LLM/lVI.Phil/Ph.d/ Post doctoral Research Scholar in any recognized University for the session 2020-2021are eligible for the schemes.
3. The student must have domicile of Assam (document mandatory PRC)
4. The Students must have valid Bank Account and details to be submitted along with the application(Bank Name, A”/c Number, IFSC Code, Branch Name)
6. The Student qualification from any recognized Institution.

C.Scholarship For Girls Students Belonging to Minority Community
Name of Organization: Directorate of Higher Education, Assam
Name of Scholarship: Girls Students Belonging to Minority Community (UG & PG) Scholarship scheme.
Eligible Courses: Undergraduate and Postgraduate
Quantum of Scholarship:
1. For PG level course-@ Rs. 10,000/- p.a
2. For UG level course-@ Rs. 6,000/- p.a
General Condition of Eligibility:
1.The Girl students belonging to minority community , who has secured not less than 50% marks in the last qualifying examination H.S or Degree(UG). Students must be a domicile of Assam
2) PRC issued from D.C./S.D.O. (Civil) is MANDATORY.
3) The Girl students must belong to Sikhs/Muslims/ Christians/Parsis/ Jains and Buddhists
4) A Self-Certificate is required from the student.
6) The students must have a valid Bank Account in their name in a Nationalized Bank (Preferably SBI) 8) The Scholarship amount will be credited in the selected bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer @BT) mode.

List of the Documents to be Submitted (Scanned)
1) PRC from DC/ S.D.O. As Proof of Domicile of the State of Assam mandatory, no other certificate will be accepted.
2) Income Certificate issued by the Circle Officer of the State Governments is required in respect of the parent(s/guardian(s) of the student, no other certificate will be accepted.
3) Certificate from the Registrar/Head of the Institution in which the candidate is at present studying.
4) Final mark sheet of last qualifying examinations (i’e. H.S./T.D.C.).
5) Photograph and Signature of the candidat
